You can never guess the two are from complete different shows and animators originally. It is a complete universal, synthesis of the two worlds. Neither did they rip Batman from his show for Scooby’s world.

They did not rip Shaggy from his show for a Batman movie. What amazes me is how they join these two worlds together on a visual level. Yet, luckily it does not feel like too abundant of fan servicing. Here they decided to go to back Jeffrey Combs, who voiced The Question in Justice League: Unlimited, a great decision I say. There are so many characters from the show and comics, fans will have plenty to stare at in awe. There is the exception of The Question, originally voiced by Jeff Bennett. It is nice to have all of the original voice actors back. I will not list off ever character, but this is the debut appearance of Detective Harvey Bullock. They are all in it enough, all with a great bit to play and serve as secondary characters, for the primary characters are Batman and Mystery Incorporated. The movie packs with plenty of characters from the Batman cartoon, but never do they feel like they are cluttering the movie. This is Brave and The Bold Batman who’s premise is to join forces with another to save the day. I have to keep reminding myself this is not the usual, loner of most current Batman mythos.

It is hard at times to accept Batman here is accepting of aid and open to receiving help. Without giving away too many spoilers, it is nice the culprit is not the usual from the old Scooby-Doo movies with Batman and Robin. Without giving away the ending, it does pay off and lead into more and a good, resolving finale. However, when one clue comes into play it becomes painfully obvious who the culprit is. Now they all join forces to find out what this Crimson Cloak is and who is behind it.Ī nice perk is that this story is part of The Brave and The Bold universe, not just some one-off. The story is relatively easy to follow, but with plenty of mystery to keep you on your toes and a few twists. Batman and the others believe The Crimson Cloak to be tied to an unsolved case of Batman’s from his past. Upon some detective work they encounter a new threat to Gotham City, The Crimson Cloak. Premise of Scooby-Doo & Batmanīatman invites The Scooby Gang to join him and his colleagues to help solve mysteries in Gotham. Now they are back at it again and better than ever. Scooby-Doo and Batman have a history even prior to this, with the old Scooby-Doo movies from the early seventies.

Last time we saw this pair was in this respective Batman cartoon, in the episode “Bat-Mite Presents: Batman’s Strangest Cases!” in 2011. This is a home release pairing up Scooby-Doo and his gang with Batman from the Batman: The Brave & The Bold animated series. animation is Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and The Bold.
